Tips for families facing cancer

A new study by therapists at Brigham Young University has found steps family members of cancer patients can take to better cope with the impact of the disease on their lives.
These include:
- acknowledging cancer’s effects on the whole family
- sharing differences and being open about contradictory feelings
- preserving routines
- advocating treatment and seeking help from therapists
