It’s BBC Children in Need day
November 17, 2006 by Andy Merrett
Here in the UK, it’s the BBC’s annual charity extravaganza raising money for Children in Need in the UK.
Every penny raised goes towards helping disadvantaged children in Britain.
Fundraising has been going on all week: tonight is the grand finalé, kicking off at 7pm on BBC1.
Join in and raise some money for a worthy cause.

I am trying to raise funds for 4- orphans in Homa Bay Kenya. These children are as young as 11 months -14 years. They sniff glue every day bought for a penny, and they sleep in drains, under tunnels and are literally starving to death. On facebook I have 1000 members from all over the world yet no-one donates and I have tried everything. Meanwhile in Kenya they have Malaria and Cholera and the children can be seen washing in a stream running from their local slaughter house.
Without help all these children will die and I cannot live with that, after trying everything. They call me Mommy Sue and I desperately would love to go and see them and take them some food and a tent to sleep in, but I am far from rich and cannot afford this at all. Even if I can’t get to them is there any chance you could make them one of your needy causes PLEASE?
Many thanks,
Sue Luckham
